What to do if the Router is replaced

If your Router is replaced, you only need to repeat the “Connecting USBy to the WiFi Network of your Router / Modem" procedure described in the User Manual.

You do not have to repeat the "Register USBy" procedure since your USBy is already registered.

 

What to do to change your email address

If you have entered an incorrect email address or want to change the configured one, perform the following steps:

  • Select Login on the controllocasa.com website using the email (incorrect or to be changed) and the registered Password
  • Change your email address on your User Page
  • Select the SAVE button

From that moment, to access your user page, you must use the new email address you just saved

 

What to do if your home/office WiFi network password is changed

If your Router is replaced, you only need to repeat the “Connecting USBy to the WiFi Network of your Router / Modem" procedure described in the User Manual.

You do not have to repeat the "Register USBy" procedure since your USBy is already registered.

 

What to do if  you don't remember the password to access the website www.controllocasa.com

If you have forgotten your password to access the ControlloCasa website:

  • go to controllocasa.com
  • select Login
  • select Forgot password

 

I don't receive alerts (anymore).

Once you have registered your USBy, if you do not receive power failure/restore alerts:

  • Check that the notices have not been moved to your Junk or Spam folders
  • Check that you have not already reached the maximum limit of alerts provided by the free service. The free alert service provides for the sending of a maximum of 6 emails per day. If interested, you can deactivate this limit by activating the EmailNoLimit Service ‎

 

Temperature indicated does not match

In some cases, the USB port of your router or the adapter used to power the USBy could affect the correct temperature indication and consequently the internal sensor of the USBy must be calibrated.

Therefore, if the temperature reported on the user page is not correct, please send the following data to help@controllocasa.it to allow our team to carry out a remote calibration:

  • Email address registered on www.controllocasa.com
  • Time of measurement
  • Temperature reported by the sensor (see user page)
  • Current temperature

 

Once installed, USBy stops flashing after a few seconds

It is normal for your USBy to stop flashing after a few seconds. This means that it has successfully connected to your router. You can check the status of your USBy directly from your user page

 

I no longer see the WiFi network created by USBy

For security reasons, after completing the connection procedure to your Router, the WiFi network created by USBy is hidden.

To be able to see it again, you must:

  • turn off your WiFi or Router
  • connect USBy to an electrical socket using an adapter
  • open the list of WiFi networks

 

What to do to recover the USBy ID

If USBy has not yet been configured/connected with your Router, the USBy identifier (i.e. USBy ID) is shown in the top right of the screen during the installation phase.

If USBy has already been registered, the USBy identifier is shown on your user page on website www.controllocasa.com

If you do not have access to your user page you must:

  • turn off your WiFi or Router
  • connect USBy to an electrical socket using an adapter
  • open the list of wifi networks
  • connect to the wifi network created by USBy
  • open a web browser and enter the following command: 192.168.4.1/id.html
  • turn on your WiFi or Router

 

What to do if  I receive the following error codes when installing USBy: (2, 0) or (201, 0)

  1. Turn USBy off for about 10 seconds
  2. Turn off your Router/Modem or disable your WiFi network
  3. Turn on USBy by connecting it to the mains using the appropriate adapter
  4. Open the list of WiFi networks and select the network created by USBy (e.g. USBy_Vx-xxxxxx)
  5. Open your Web Browser and type the following URL: 192.168.4.1/reset.html
  6. Disconnect the USBy device from the power outlet
  7. Turn on your Router/Modem or enable your WiFi network
  8. Connect the USBy device to the power socket or to the USB socket of your router (1-3 meters)
  9. Repeat the USBy Connection procedure to the Router/Modem as described in the User Manual

 

I can't enter my phone number on my user page

The telephone number is entered exclusively by ControlloCasa following the activation of the Call-Me paid service

I can't enter temperature thresholds on my user page

The temperature thresholds are entered exclusively by ControlloCasa following the activation of the Temp-Alarm paid service

The Temp-Alarm service can be activated by the Customer from the following link:

 

“User does not exist” error message during authentication using an iPhone with version 12.x or higher

In the event that, during the authentication phase on the website www.controllocasa.com using an iPhone with version 12.x or higher, the "User does not exist" error message is displayed, you will have to:

  1. Select the Settings application on your iPhone => Safari => Advanced => Experimental Feature and deactivate the “Swap Processes on Cross-Site Navigation” item
  2. Try to access the website www.controllocasa.it again using Safari
