General problems

I am not receiving power failure/restoration alerts

Check that you have not already reached the maximum limit of free daily alerts (i.e. the free service provides 6 alert emails per day)

Check that the notices have not been moved to your Junk or Spam folders.

 

I get a lot of power/internet failure alerts

If the signal quality is LOW (reported on your user page), move the device closer to the Router or connect the USBy device directly to the USB port of your Router/Modem

 

If you have connected USBy to the WiFi network of an Access Point, we recommend that you:

- turn off the Access Point

- repeat the USBy installation by connecting it to your router's WiFi network

- turn on the Access Point

 

If the problem persists, send an email to assistenza@controllocasa.it with the following information:

1) Internet service provider

2) Brand of your Router

3) Type of your Router

4) Type of Internet connection (ADSL, FIBER, SIM card)

5) Where USBy is connected (e.g. directly on the Router or via USB power supply)

6) Distance between USBy and its Router

7) Have you installed a mesh network (i.e. Router + Access Points)?

8) Have you installed any Repeaters/Extenders?

9) Have you configured USBy with the Router's WiFi network or with the Mesh/Access Point/Repeater WiFi network?

 

What to do if the Router is replaced

Reset the device as described in section 3.2.6

Repeat the "Connecting USBy to the WiFi Network of your Router / Modem" procedure only.

Do not repeat the "Register USBy" procedure

 

What to do if your WiFi network password is changed

Reset the device as described in section 3.2.6

Repeat the "Connecting USBy to the WiFi Network of your Router / Modem" procedure only.

Do not repeat the "Register USBy" procedure

 

What to do if I need to change my email address

Open your user page on the website www.controllocasa.com

Change your email address

Save the new email address

Note: From now on, you will have to use the new email address to access your user page.

The indicated temperature does not match

In some cases, to have a correct temperature measurement, the USBy internal sensor must be calibrated.

Therefore, if the temperature reported on the user page is not correct, please send the following data to assistenza@controllocasa.it :

  • Email address registered on www.controllocasa.com
  • ID of your USBy (if you have more than one USBy)
  • Time of measurement
  • Temperature reported by the sensor (see user page)
  • Current temperature

 

Has the problem not been resolved?

If the problem you have encountered is not present in the previous list, we kindly ask you to send an email to amministrazione@controllocasa.it providing the following data to which we will respond as soon as possible:

  • purchase order number (e.g. order number listed on Amazon, Paypal transaction number)
  • email registered on www.controllocasa.com
  • details on the type of problem
